This is one of two builds from an experiment we ran at Arcweave. We wrote one small point-and-click game, then gave it to the same AI (GPT-Astra, on high) twice: once as a design document and once as an Arcweave project.

This version was built from the Arcweave project's JSON export. It worked on the first try. The AI found Arcweave's Arcscript interpreter on its own and used it to run the game's logic as written. We then updated the project with three changes: a renamed ferryman, a new condition on the exit, and a new character with a third ending. The AI applied them on the first try, with no breaks.

Every line the player reads was written by a person. The AI wrote the code, the placeholder art and the sound.

Play the version built from the design document: The Last Ferry (built from a design doc)

Play the source story in Arcweave: The Last Ferry in Arcweave Play Mode

Read what we found: We let AI build the same game from a design doc and from Arcweave
